Angel Bowl: Holy Angels hosts a bowl-athon called Angel Bowl every March at George Pappas Liberty Lanes, Gastonia, NC. It is a fun and exciting event as over 800 individuals participate from different organizations and companies. They bowl one game on the day of Angel Bowl and raise money from their friends, families and co-workers to support Holy Angels. Top fundraisers receive great prizes. There are also opportunities for corporate sponsorship.
Run for the Money: Sponsored by the Community Foundation of Gaston County, this springtime fundraiser provides an opportunity to raise funds which are then matched to a specified amount. Runners compete for monetary prizes to be donated to the non profit of their choice, and they also raise money through the pledges of their friends. If you aren't a runner, there's the 2K walk as well as other team competition, such as best booth or best dance troupe.
Carolina Classic Golf Tournament: Do you enjoy a good game of golf for a good cause. Holy Angels hosts the Annual Carolina Classic Golf Tournament at Pine Island Country Club in September. The golf classic offers an exciting captain’s choice round of golf in a beautiful setting, with great prizes for the winners. An awards reception follow the golf. There are various levels of corporate sponsorship available.
Hands Around Our School: This program is a great partnership between Holy Angels and local schools. Holy Angels provides empathy training to the students of the participating schools. Empathy training gives the students a simulation of what it may be like to have a disability in a variety of fun and informative activities. The students in turn sell paper hands for $1.00 a piece and write the donor’s name on it. The hands are then placed around the school creating Hands Around our School. All proceeds raised support Holy Angels. This great program serves several purposes beyond raising money for Holy Angels. Students begin to respect and understand people with disabilities. It also serves as a part of character education for the resident and helps them to understand the importance of philanthropy within the own community.
Power of the Past Tractor Club Angel Tractor Raffle: The Power of the Past Tractor Club hosts an annual raffle where an antique tractor is given away for the benefit of Holy Angels Creative Arts Program.
