Raising Funds To Continue Our Work

As a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation and sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Mercy South Central Community, Holy Angels is dependent upon financial and volunteer support in order to provide the highest quality care to our residents regardless of their diagnosis, challenges or financial status.

The Holy Angels Foundation serves as the fundraising arm of Holy Angels and must raise 20% of the annual total operating costs for programs and services that are not funded through government and other funding sources. Donations to the Holy Angels Foundation are tax deductible and support vital programs and services.

Larry Sprinkle and LadiesThe Foundation raises funds through a wide variety of activities and events supported by individuals, businesses, organizations, churches and schools. These include:

Hands Around Our School

A unique and worthwhile program offering rewards for Holy Angels and local school children, Hands Around Our School is both a fundraising event as well as learning opportunity. Holy Angels provides empathy training to students of participating schools which includes simulated disabilities and challenges. In turn, students sell paper hands to donors for one dollar each which are then placed around the school. In addition to raising funds to benefit Holy Angels, the program creates awareness of philanthropy and understanding of others’ needs.

Power Of The Past Tractor Club Angel Raffle

Members of the Power of the Past Tractor Club include farmers, landscapers, corporate managers, engineers and retired truck drivers who live and work in the Charlotte/Mecklenburg County region. Each year, members work together to gather parts to restore an antique tractor, then raffle off the vintage equipment. To date, the group has raised more than $200,000 for the benefit of the Holy Angels Creative Arts program.
