Taylor has been employed at Cherubs Café & Cherubs Candy Bouquet since 2009. What the staff love most about working with Taylor is his sense of humor and the way he teases his co-workers. He is an expert dishwasher and is very methodical making sure every dish, pot and pan are spotless. He spends time at Cherubs Candy Bouquet gluing fun candy on stems and wrapping the stems. He will always make your day with his big smile.

Jennifer started her employment at Holy Angels in 2013 as a member of the Foundation staff – initially as our special events coordinator and was soon promoted as the Director of Development. Ask Jennifer why she is at Holy Angels and she will tell you, “I am here for the residents” and it is evident in every aspect of what she does. When giving tours, Jennifer’s personal knowledge of the residents, their certain nuances and habits, demonstrates that she holds not only our mission, but our residents, close to her heart. She enthusiastically raises funds in our internal and external events and is a great spokesperson for Holy Angels when she is out in the community.
ACHIEVEMENT OF EXCELLENCE - RELIEF STAFF (works every other weekend)
Amy has a kind and compassionate spirit that resounds throughout the Morrow Center on the weekends. She keeps up to date on the changing needs of the residents in her care and has top notch direct care skills. Amy is a team orientated employee who willingly helps wherever needed including working additional hours. She enjoys spending time with the children in Area One and cares for them as she would her own.

Dee Martin has been at Holy Angels for over 18 years. She is a dedicated Job Coach at Cherubs Café. The supported employees benefit from her gentle ways and patience. Nothing seems to ruffle Dee’s feathers – especially when it comes to the supported employees. It is evident that she loves each supported employee and they love her. Dee is also a favorite with Cherubs Café customers.
ACHIEVEMENT OF EXCELLENCE - PROGRAM PROFESSIONAL
Amanda has been a respected nurse at Holy Angels since 2004. She has served in many roles during her tenure, including the roles of staff nurse and nursing supervisor. She has assisted our residents by being an advocate at off campus appointments, helping with many onsite clinics and by volunteering to meet staffing needs on her scheduled days off. Amanda’s caring attitude is contagious to the new staff members she trains as well as to those she has worked alongside of for 13 years.

Named in honor and memory of Holy Angels' first resident for her spirit of love, perseverance and can-do attitude.
Kristina has a great rapport with the South Point Community Group Home residents – she is always positive, easy going and even when things aren’t so smooth – she never seems to lose her cool. She creates a fun and loving environment for the residents. When it comes to fun activities – she can be counted on to make sure all are included and having fun. Kristina always has a smile on her face – she reflects joy in her work with the residents.
NORCARR - VIRGINIA FRANKS ACHIEVEMENT OF EXCELLENCE AWARD
On July 1, 2010, Val began his career in the Holy Angels support services department. It wasn’t too long until we experienced his many gifts and talents. He has a positive attitude - whatever challenges he may face each day – they are met with a smile. He will lend a helping hand and no matter the issue – he will strive to find a solution. Val is known for his “can do” attitude, professionalism and caring heart for the staff he supervises and more importantly the residents we serve. He currently serves as the Facility Services Manager as well as a positive role model for all.
NORCARR - ANN WOLFE AWARD
Brandy began her career at Holy Angels May 26, 2009. Before her first anniversary, Brandy received the Rising Star award as an outstanding new staff member. As the Group Home Manager for the Belhaven IIDD Group Home, she serves as a role model for the staff who work there – and a mentor for new staff members. She continually strives to assure all residents who live in Belhaven receive the best care possible. Under her leadership – the day to day schedule of the home runs smoothly. She adds a spirit of fun to everyday activities, while assuring the residents and staff work and play together in a caring and safe environment. Whatever challenges the day brings, Brandy faces them with a smile and positive attitude.

Named in memory of a member of the nursing staff who had an unbounded spirit of generosity.
Lynn has been employed at Holy Angels since December 1996. has a great rapport with the residents and staff. She is always going above and beyond the minimum to enhance the school environment. The Area 2 staff all benefit from the wealth of knowledge that Lynn brings into the classroom each day – 20 years’ worth of knowledge. When one of her residents needs to spend time in the Fisher Healthcare Center – she makes a point of checking in on them to see if they are in need of anything. At Holy Angels, we are appreciative of Lynn and her ability to provide excellent care to our residents.

Paula, who serves as the program director for the ICF/IIDD group homes, is the person to go to if you want the job done right!! She is respected among her peers and her staff know she will advocate for them. The residents are always Paula’s top priority, she wants the best for them, and therefore she ensures that all the staff are properly trained. She sets the bar high and expects the staff to perform at that high level. One of Paula’s strongest qualities is her ability to mentor and teach others. Her work is always thorough. She is best described as a Mentor and highly organized.
