The Mystery of Holy Angels: A Record-Setting 70th Anniversary Gala
/In November, the 70th Anniversary Gala set the stage for a historic year, uniting nearly 430 guests in an evening of energy, emotion and purpose at The Revelry in Charlotte’s Camp North End. The evening beautifully honored the “mysteries of Holy Angels” – the defining moments, answered prayers and perfectly timed blessings that have shaped our mission for 70 years.
We were truly overwhelmed by the generosity shown throughout the evening. With WCNC’s Larry Sprinkle energizing the program and live auction, the program featured powerful storytelling, including a Hock Production video featuring a moving poem by Kurma Murrain that brought Holy Angels history to life.
A highlight of the evening was presenting the Legacy of Love Award to Rev. Robert Hinman. He was recognized for the steady leadership and heartfelt commitment that marked his 26 years of faithful service on the Holy Angels Board of Directors, including six years as chair. Rob served as a pastor for 35 years and has dedicated his life to ministry, family and service to others. His compassion for individuals with disabilities was instilled early by his father, Dr. Allan Hinman, who worked with young people with special needs, and that passion has continued through his life. We are grateful for his dedication, advocacy and support of our residents – his love embodies the spirit of Holy Angels.
The night continued with strong participation and generosity, allowing Holy Angels to reach a milestone fundraising goal, in a fitting kickoff to this milestone 70th anniversary year.
Thank you to all who attended, supported and sponsored this once-in-a-lifetime event.
