From running on the track and jumping in the sand to throwing competitions and relay races, the 2026 Gaston County Special Olympics was filled with excitement, determination and joy. This year was especially memorable, as two Holy Angels representatives were selected to serve as official torchbearers for the opening ceremonies.

A sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Mercy, Holy Angels maintains international accreditation from CARF, and employs more than 300 trained, committed individuals and maintains high standards of compliance with all federal, state and local governing bodies.
